A Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego Sermon Preschoolers will Understand.
“Today, we will learn about three special friends named Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These three friends loved and worshiped God. But one day, a powerful king named Nebuchadnezzar wanted everyone to worship a golden statue he had made.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego knew they should only worship God, so they didn’t bow down to the statue. This made King Nebuchadnezzar very angry, and he ordered them to be thrown into a fiery furnace that was super hot!
But something amazing happened! When they were in the fiery furnace, God sent Someone, who, in the king’s words, “like the Son of God”, to protect them, and they didn’t get burned at all!
The king saw this miracle and was amazed. He realized that the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego was powerful and wonderful.
So, today, we will make a special craft to remember how God protected these three brave friends in the fiery furnace. We’ll learn to trust God, just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did.”
