Help young children embrace their identity as a child of God with this simple Who I Am In Christ printable that includes Scripture references from the word of God.

A few weeks ago, our Wednesday night Bible class included a portion on “who I am in Christ.” I co-teach our Kindergarten and 1st-grade kids and like providing them with an easy-to-understand visual or craft to help them remember each week’s lesson. For this lesson, I pulled Scripture from God’s Word to affirm who they are because they are children of God.

Our children are exposed to so much in school, on the playground, and in play groups. Their tender hearts are quick to embrace what they hear.

While designing this printable, my heart is to help provide our little ones with visual reminders they can hang on their bedroom wall, reminders of their true identity, because of Christ.

Who I Am in Christ Affirmations

A while ago, I shared Who I Am In Christ affirmations for girls, teens, and young women.

These printable affirmation cards are God’s promises over His children, truths to hold onto as God’s children in our everyday life.

The Who I Am In Christ printable is a more child-friendly version, designed as coloring pages, with traceable affirmations.

Knowing Who I Am In Christ: Scriptures About Who I Am In Christ

This printable features ten promises of God, when we are in Christ.

Scripture references have been included to help children trace these Biblical truths to what God declares in His Word, the Bible.

I pray the following verses will speak life into the hearts and spirits of our children, and us.

I am loved

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. (I Peter 2:9)

I am wonderfully made

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well. (Psalm 139:14)

I am healed

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

Where Can I Use the Who I Am In Christ Worksheet?

This may be used as a resource during your family’s Bible study, to reinforce Who I Am In Christ verses, in Sunday School or your homeschool group/co-op.
