If you’re teaching your young child the story of Joseph and the Coat of Many Colors from the Old Testament book of Genesis, chapter 37, then this sweet paper bag craft will be easy for little hands to put together.
The only prep work needed would be to precut the colored strips of paper.

Materials Needed To Make The Joseph Coat Of Many Colors Craft
- White paper lunch bag
- Construction paper– 7 colors
- Black marker
- Glue stick
- A pair of scissors
How to Make This Joseph and the Colorful Coat Paper Bag Puppet Craft
- Draw a face on the flap of the paper bag.
- Cut strips of construction paper 1″ high and as wide as your paper bag.
- Glue on the colorful strips (the child can choose patterns and even decorate further with sequins, glitter, etc.) under the paper bag’s flap to make Joseph’s colorful coat.
- Write “Joseph and the Coat of Many Colors.” onto the strips. (Optional)
- Have your child retell the story of Joseph using his/her puppet once it is dry.
Now, isn’t that easy?
