To add a little touch of Seuss to what they wear each day, I rummaged through my craft drawers and used a few odds and ends to make an adorable hair accessory in under 7 minutes!
How to make an easy Red Fish Blue Fish hair accessory
Materials required:
Clips (Alligator hair clips are best)
Glue gun with glue refill sticks
A pair of scissors
1 pen/pencil
1. Place one felt square over the other and using your pen or pencil, free hand draw a fish (approximately 2 inches tall and 3 inches wide)
2. Cut out the outline of the fish on both felt squares and set aside while you apply glue on the clip.
3. Now stick a wiggly eye on each fish and ta-dah, your sweet Red Fish Blue Fish hair accessory is done!
And best of all, it doesn’t take longer than 7 minutes to make!
I made Little Man a Red Fish Blue Fish badge, replacing the alligator clip with a safety pin and gluing the fish to a thin felt strip.
This way he gets to wear the fish to school too!
Have you checked out the free printable Cat in the Hat bookmarks your child can share with friends?
