How cute is this?
Materials Needed to Make The Paper Christmas Tree:
Cut a rectangle shape from the green construction paper.
Fold the rectangle in an accordion style. Start folding from one end to the other, creating even sections.
2. Create Two Accordion-Folded Circles:
Repeat the process to make a second accordion-folded rectangle.
Attach the two accordion-folded rectangles to form a circle. Ensure the folds are on the outside to give it a tree-like appearance.
3. Paint the Outer Part with Green:
Using the green paint and a paintbrush, carefully paint the outer part of the accordion-folded circles. This will give your tree a vibrant and festive look.
Allow the paint to dry completely.
4. Repeat the Process with Different Sizes:
Create additional accordion-folded circles with different sizes, ranging from small to large sizes.
Remember to paint the outer parts of each circle with green paint and let them dry.
5. Attach the Circles Together:
Begin with the largest accordion-folded circle at the bottom.
Attach the smaller circles on top of each other, arranging them from largest to smallest. This will create the tiered structure of your Christmas tree.
6. Cut a Star from Cardboard:
Cut out a star shape from the cardboard. You can use a template or freehand it based on your preference.
7. Decorate the Star with Gold Glitter:
Fill the cut-out star with gold glitter. You can achieve this by applying glue to the star and sprinkling the glitter on top. Shake off any excess glitter.
Or use gold glitter glue.
8. Attach the Star at the Top:
Once the glitter on the star is dry, please attach it to the top of your paper Christmas tree. This will serve as a beautiful and festive tree topper.
9. Optional: Decorate with Marker:
If desired, use a marker to add additional decorative elements to your paper Christmas tree. You can draw ornaments, lights, or any other festive designs.
Your accordion-folded paper Christmas tree, complete with a glittering star topper, is now ready to bring holiday cheer to your space!
And your teen will find pride in displaying this handmade creation or creations.
Considering how easy this is, you just may have a Christmas tree forest on display!
