Did You Know (contd.)…

 .
* Chick-fil-A‘s refreshing lemonade stands out because its made from 3 secret ingredients.

.

No this isn’t  one of those corporate statements to hide what really goes into the “mix” because all 13 of us bloggers were instructed step-wise on how to make “the” lemonade.

And yes, once done, our lemonade DID taste just like the real stuff.

Hand squeezing those lemons “with love” does make a world of difference when compared to a bottle of supposed “fresh” lemon juice extract. It isn’t an easy task but it’s worth the end result.

Ask us!

We were paired into teams of two and given a chance to experience 2 minutes in the life of a “Lemon Squeezer”. Our teams were put into a “Blogger Face Off Lemon Squeezing Contest” to see which team could squeeze the most amount of juice from the given lemons in 2 minutes.

Guess who won?

* All new Chick-fil-A restaurants have to first go through a training period in a specially designed simulation center on site at the Headquarters. Members from the corporate office are invited to order from the test restaurant , pay for their food with monopoly money {so much fun!}and offer constructive criticism to bring the “newbies” up to stead with the Chick-fil-A standard that is respected and loved.

.

Contrary to what many people think, the Brand is very selective and careful when setting up a restaurant in a new location. Last year the company received over 20,000 applications from franchisee hopefuls to set up the planned 80 odd new franchise restaurants for the year!

.

.

* The Kids Meals toys scheduled to roll out over the coming few months definitely have my vote of approval. Your child can look forward to goodies from the Berenstain Bears, Paddington Bear, Martha Speaks and some really cool “lets have fun outdoors” toys.

* Chicken nuggets were first introduced to the quick-service food industry by Chick-fil-A!

.

* Truett Cathy and his wife started WinShape Foundation in 1984. The Foundation does great work especially with kids through their scholarship programs, foster care homes and summer camps.

.

.

There just might be an awesome opportunity to win a 100% scholarship to the upcoming summer camp in Young Harris, Georgia, so keep your eyes peeled for more details!

.

.

To close out this two post series on the “Scoop” I thought it would be fun to share with you the Chick-fil-A cheer!

{Make sure you’re standing up for this one. }

.

..

I do have one more “Chick-fil-A” post that you WILL want to read. It’s my favorite and yes, I’ve left the best for last!

So till my post The Cathys…a legacy of hope, faith and inspiration” remember to…
