Suddenly! (God Whispers-25)

At times when God speaks, it’s a still small voice…sometimes even a whisper. And it’s at times like these that He invites us to be still and know that He is God (Psalms 46:10).
Join me as I share with you 31 God Whispers…i.e. 31 Promises from the Word of God that sustain, strengthen and encourage me on my journey to be the Mommy and Wife God wants me to be.

Suddenly! ( Day 25)

.

 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

(Acts 16:26)

I love the way my Pastor puts it…”We’re microwave Christians serving a crockpot God.”

Now don’t get me wrong here. God is well able to answer prayers or change things around quickly but most often, atleast with things in my life, I’ve seen He takes a while to bring things into fulfillment.

 

I know! We’re an impatient bunch. We want our answers NOW and if we see no change after a while, we decide to give up and throw in the towel.

 

Our God may be a crockpot God but He is also a God of suddenlies!

 

Keep on praying for that need. The answer will come…SUDDENLY!

Keep doing good to that bitter, cold-hearted family member. God will change him/her…SUDDENLY!

Keep sowing faithfully into the Kingdom of God with your tithes and offerings. Your financial situation will change…SUDDENLY!

Keep showering your rebellious teenager with love. God will turn his attitude around…SUDDENLY!

 

DON’T give up right now!

Keep pressing in because your breakthrough is right round the corner, practically just a heartbeat away and before you know it, when you least expect it, God will show up and…

SUDDENLY everything will change!

 

 

 

I pray that you will find comfort, encouragement and hope as you lean close to listen to God’s Whisper for your situation today.

Marina is a grateful, South Texas-based mom of two daughters and a son (an 18-year-old, 13-year-old and 10-year-old). Her husband, of 22 years, is her best friend and biggest cheerleader. The family loves soccer, basketball, their sweet rescue pup Jingle, good food and traveling!
