Shine that Light! (God Whispers-24)

Shine that Light! ( Day 24)

  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

(Matthew 5:16)

You may not always be surrounded by Christians or even another Christian in your place of work, or child’s playgroup and at times it seems like you are the only voice holding fast to God’s instructions in the Bible.

Irrespective of whether you are in a group or the lone warrior, Jesus says that we are to stand firm and allow the light of the Gospel of Christ to shine through our lives.

 

Not all of us are called to do the same thing.

Some of us are like candles, bringing Christ’s love to people in our close family and friend circles.

Some of us are like light bulbs, radiating Christ through our lives to people in our work places, schools, educational systems and communities.

Some of us are like flashlights guiding the lost to a place of hope in Christ.

Some of us are like blazing fires bringing the warmth and compassion of Christ to those in need.

None of these are more important than the other. Each have their own, distinct, important role to play.

Be encouraged in this that you aren’t too small for God to use you. Boldly shine your light to those around you and see what God can do through your life.

 

 

I pray that you will find comfort, encouragement and hope as you lean close to listen to God’s Whisper for your situation today.
