Be not ashamed! ( Day 26)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
(Romans 1:16)

Just before a meal at home, we close our eyes and thank God for the blessing of food given to our family. The prayer is said out loud, without any inhibition at all. But take that meal to a restaurant and you will notice that our prayer of gratitude is practically a whisper… unless its Bunny girl praying. Whether it’s at a friend’s home, a public gathering or at home, she prays and thanks the LORD for her food, loudly and unabashedly. We account our response of “quiet praying” to the surroundings or even the concern for another individual present. Is that it? Or are we shy ashamed to pray in public? Think about this. We need to walk around with a confidence that Jesus is our LORD. We need to take a stand for the things of Christ that are being squashed into removal by the world. We need to be proud to say “Yes, I’m a Christian”. For after all, Christ never crawled behind a hill to die on the Cross for our sins. Oh no! He boldly declared to everyone around that He was giving His Life for you and for me. He was not ashamed of us. Neither should we be of Him. I pray that you will find comfort, encouragement and hope as you lean close to listen to God’s Whisper for your situation today.
