At times when God speaks, it’s a still small voice…sometimes even a whisper. And it’s at times like these that He invites us to be still and know that He is God (Psalms 46:10).

God Whispers…My God shall supply (Day 2)

.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus..

(Philippians 4:19)

.

I remember the time when Bunny girl was 3 months old and we were on the hunt for a reliable nanny. We’d exhausted my maternity leave and Hubby had just a little over a week left for him to return to work. Needless to say, my worries began to escalate. I did not want to leave my baby in a daycare nor was there any way I could stay at home with her at that point as I had to work. We were praying for God to send us the right nanny but it just seemed like it was taking forever!

.

Somebody once said “God is never late nor is He ever slow. It’s just that His Timing is different from ours.” I knew God heard that we had this need but at the time it felt like there was no answer.

Less than a week before Hubby had to go back to work, a lady rang the doorbell saying a friend of my husband’s had asked her to come by and meet us as she knew we were looking for a nanny. When I met this lady, my heart sank. She looked like the strict headmistress from Frigid Zone and had the hoarsest, scary voice I’d ever heard. Instantly the thought arose “No way is she going to look after my baby! ” I vehemently announced my decision to Hubby in the lady’s absence but he suggested we try her out. He reminded me that God does not always send us the answer in the “pretty” package we want and that we need to trust Him on this. I agreed but with half a heart in it!

.

To make a long story short, the lady moved in and less than 2 days later I was humbled to admit that I was horribly wrong. This lady was the best thing that could have ever happened for our daughter…and our family. She grew to become part of the family and when we moved away we both cried our hearts out as we knew we were going to miss  the beautiful person she is.

.

This is just one of so many instances where God has taught me to trust Him to move in answer to a prayer, in His Time.

The answer may not always come “packaged” the way you want it to be, so don’t shun it away as you may miss out on the blessing that answer would be to your life.

God knows what we NEED and will provide for that need… be it financial, material, physical, emotional or spiritual.

It may not always be what we WANT but rest assured that your need WILL be fulfilled.

Trust Him on this. He IS Faithful to His Word.

I pray that you will find comfort, encouragement and hope as you lean close to listen to God’s Whisper for your situation today.

Be blessed!
