At times when God speaks, it’s a still small voice…sometimes even a whisper. And it’s at times like these that He invites us to be still and know that He is God (Psalms 46:10).
Join me as I share with you 31 God Whispers…i.e. 31 Promises from the Word of God that sustain, strengthen and encourage me on my journey to be the Mommy and Wife God wants me to be.

God Whispers…Be Anxious For Nothing (Day 1)

.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

(Philippians 4:6,7)

.

The days leading to Bunny girl’s first day at Kindergarten were filled with excitement, eager anticipation and…loads of Mommy worry!

My baby was going to big kids school.

Would she handle the long hours?

What if she wasn’t able to eat all her food at lunch time? Would she starve?

Would the kids in her class be friendly?

Would the teacher be nice?

Would she be able to find her way to her class, all by herself, once I dropped her off at the main entrance?

.

Ugh! All that worry built up enough fear to eat through a lifetime of peace!!

To the people around me I looked like a duck gliding gracefully across the still waters but only God and I knew that I was desperately paddling to stay afloat and calm!

,

.

Though I’ve read Philippians 4:6,7 countless number of times, it only came to life that morning I sat swamped with fear while Bunny girl was away at school.

God’s Word cut through all that pent up anxiety and I realized that my child’s life, security and happiness is so important to me but it’s so much more important to her Maker, Her Heavenly Father. I was reminded that her life was safe in His Hands and that I needed to let go and trust God to watch over her.

.

I learned that God wanted me to

1. Pray over her life each time she set off for school.

2. Trust Him to watch over her through the day and

3. Thank Him that His Hand is upon her life and that she is safe because He is with her

When I made a conscious effort to remind myself to do this daily, His Peace flowed in, flooded over the concern, removed the nagging fear and filled me with an assurance that I know is 100% God-governed.

.

Your worry or concern may not be as trifle as mine. It may be a mammoth, looming fear like the consequences after that negative doctor’s report, your child’s health or that problem in your marriage nobody knows about.

Remember that God sees, He knows and He is able to change things around.

Give that problem to Him, leave it with Him, thank Him for the answer, believe that He will move on your behalf and He will fill your heart and mind with a peace that is so refreshing and encouraging.

.

I

I pray that you will find comfort, encouragement and hope as you lean close to listen to God’s Whisper for your situation today.

Be blessed!

A big thank you to The Nester for triggering off a desire within me to do this…
I’m excited to see what God will do through this!

  1. I can relate to this post well..This morning I was reading my grandmother’s Bible when I came across this verse from Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.
I have a couple of verses that have held me in good stead …Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee ? Be strong and of a good courage : be not afraid neither be thou dismayed for the Lord thy God ia with thee whitherso thou goest
and my eternal fav Psalm 46:7 Be still and know that I am God (this is esp for the swans amongst us who paddle furiously and yet portray a serene expression)
I am sure Bunny Girl will settle in soon..in her big kids school…she has prayers and blessings surrounding her in all that she does as has her little brother Bunny Boo..
I look forward to the rest of the month…this post has struck a chord in me..God Bless you always in your minstry
