At times when God speaks, it’s a still small voice…sometimes even a whisper. And it’s at times like these that He invites us to be still and know that He is God (Psalms 46:10).
Join me as I share with you 31 God Whispers…i.e. 31 Promises from the Word of God that sustain, strengthen and encourage me on my journey to be the Mommy and Wife God wants me to be.

God Whispers…For He Shall Give His Angels (Day 3)

.

For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
Itheir hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

(Psalms 91: 11,12)

.

Ask any mother and they will tell you that they’ve had more than just a handful of “heart in your mouth” situations with their child narrowly missing a severe accident or escaping death’s call by just a split second.

.

Bunny girl has had two such instances. One where she narrowly missed piercing her forehead with a trailer’s hook when she tripped while running after her soccer ball on the paved road. The second was at pre-school when a little boy smashed his sharp metal toy aircraft on her face, just barely missing her right eye.

.

Bunny Boo has not been spared from his share of falls and tumbles either. The worst one till date was when he jumped off a friend’s lap, lost footing and landed smack down on the edge of our coffee table. The shriek followed by high pitched screaming and the growing bump on his forehead was enough to shake any Mommy’s nerves of steel!

.

On all these instances the children were bruised and cried their hearts out…but thankfully were never severely hurt. If they’d missed positions by just a millimeter things would’ve been different.

Each time we look back we see God’s Hand of Protection safeguarding them.

.

After each incident when Hubby and I have sat down and breathed a sigh of absolute relief and gratitude to God, we’ve been reminded of Psalms 91:11,12.

I know without a shadow of doubt that God has His Angels holding them up, moving them away from harm’s way, shielding them and protecting them each time.

.

The next time your little one narrowly misses an accident, don’t thank your lucky stars, thank God. He assures us that when we put our trust in Him, He WILL protect our babies from all danger…

and it’s that promise that holds my Mommy sanity in place.

.

I

I pray that you will find comfort, encouragement and hope as you lean close to listen to God’s Whisper for your situation today.

Be blessed!

A big thank you to The Nester for triggering off a desire within me to do this…
I’m excited to see what God will do through this!

  1. What a great reminder! Wow, I know EXACTLY what you mean! I need to remember this verse instead of trying to be in “control” myself…

I blog at “Only a Breath” and would love for you to stop by if you have time! I’m writing about “31 Days to Love Your Neighbor”. It has been a very interesting journey to say the least! 🙂

    Have a great day!
