You know it’s time to lose weight when…

I guess it went to my head. I was always asked how I’d managed to stay in shape right after having Bunny Boo.

I’d eat hearty meals and they’d disappear into thin air.

I loved being able to walk around comfortably without worrying about pieces of me wobbling around!

But then it happened.

Bunny Boo weaned away from nursing.

From then on it began.

The subtle signs…

  • The little creases, pockets and folds I’d find on my body, that had never been there before,  have begun to grow in tiny but sure proportions! ((Ack!))
  • A friend’s mother asked me the other day if I was pregnant. When I said I wasn’t, she turned her attention to my husband and inquired persistently if I was. She wouldn’t take no for an answer!
  • I STILL can’t find swimwear modest and comfortable enough to cover what needs to be covered…and our trip to Aquatica, SeaWorld is a day away!! ((Sob!))

Then I was hit with the whopper sign.

A few days ago, I decided to wear a pretty floral dress. Bunny Boo walked into the room, stopped short in his tracks and just whispered.

Mama

Pretty!

I gloated and basked in the compliment effused by my 2 year old.

But before I could get comfortable in 7th heaven, he looked straight into my eyes and sang with all gusto-

In his lingo, he sang “Ele-FANT! Ele-FANT!! Big Attitees! (That’s what he’d call an elephant several months ago. He still loves to bring it back into sentences.) Ele-FANT! Ele-FANT!”

((Sigh!))

From the mouth of babes?

Yep!

It’s time!!

 .

When did you know it was “time”? Do you have any “weighty” candid moments to share to make me feel better?

  1. I’m right there with you! My little guy recently poked me and asked me if i had a baby in my belly. =)

  2. all the time from my 3 yr old. She says “i’m to big for the chair” or whatever she can go through and I can’t lol. I wore a summer short dress with horizontal stripes and I had a customer ask me if I was pregnant, I told him no that i must be the dress and he was very embarrassed. I of course will never wear that dress again. In regards to swimwear. I went to Marshall and found a bunch of decent swimwear that are slimming and are very cute and affordable and most important hide all the love handles 🙂

  3. After I had my youngest, I put on 5 to 10 pounds every year. I’m not really sure what changed me, but I’ve slowly started going back in the other direction. It really has happened slowly though. It’s taken me 2 1/2 years to lose 34 pounds and I still have another 40 to go. I’m okay with slow though, as long as I keep going in the right direction. 🙂

  4. People need to keep their “are you pregnant” questions to themselves. Who asks that!?!? Anyway, I guess my moment was when I couldn’t ride a roller coaster once because the bar wouldn’t safely close around me. UGH! How embarrassing.

    Good luck!

  5. I went to a party in a dress that I thought made me look great (my fiance’s ex was at the party as well). When I later saw the pics the next day, I was mortified at how horribly fat and blobby I looked. I made it my mission from that day on to fix that and I reached my goal in just 5 weeks. It’s been about 6 months and I’m still keeping it off 🙂
