We were invited to the Gaylord Texan to experience the Lone Star Christmas festivities and see, firsthand, what makes ICE the crowd-puller year after year. Arena B was kind enough to represent Mommy Snippets and share her experience at the Lone Star Christmas At The Gaylord Texan Featuring ICE! All opinions on the same are her own and have not been influenced.
Lone Star Christmas at the Gaylord Texan is a must during the holiday season in Dallas. And this year, it’s even bigger and better than ever!
ICE! is such a cool and unique experience. Don a blue parka and walk into a display featuring 2 million pounds of ice carved into beautiful masterpieces. Artisans from China work for months to create intricate sculptures.
It’s so cool — literally! They have to keep the exhibit at a chilling 9 degrees to preserve the sculptures.
There are also six slides made entirely of ice — my son LOVED it!
He also loved exploring all the tunnels and nooks inside the exhibit — they make it so fun for little ones!
And there’s tons more to do once you leave ICE!
Visit Santa’s Snowball Throwing Workshop to try your hand at hitting targets. You get to throw real snow!
And Santa’s Wild Workshop Snow Tubing is *so* much fun! My son made me go down with him a few times, and then he had a blast tubing on his own. So fun!
Here are even more fun things to do around the resort:
- Photos with Santa
- Milk and Cookies with Mrs. Claus
- The Elf on the Shelf® Scavenger Hunt
- Gingerbread Decorating Corner Sponsored by PEEPS®
- Rudolph’s Holly Jolly™ Breakfast
Book a room at the resort and make a weekend of it! The Gaylord Texan offers packages to make your stay a fun family experience.
