Preparing Your Vehicle for Tailgating

Football season is in full swing, and to many that means so much more than watching the game. Often times it’s a chance to get together with family and friends while you eat, drink, and be merry. In many states, tailgating is a favorite past-time during this time of year. Tailgating is awesome, because you don’t typically need a lot of space. It’s like the ultimate mobile party! Just pack everything up in the back of your car, or trailer and go!

As with any season, however, the most important aspect should remain the safety of you and your family. This only takes a small bit of preparation, and could make all the difference in the overall experience of your family and friends!

Here are a few tips to keep your tailgating experience safe and fun!

Use proper towing equipment

If your tailgating will require you to tow a trailer or any other equipment ALWAYS be sure you have the proper equipment necessary to tow. While it is often possible to rig a tow up without the proper equipment, it is usually hazardous for both you and your passengers, as well as others on the road. You also run the risk of severely damaging your vehicle in the process.
