At times when God speaks, it’s a still small voice…sometimes even a whisper. And it’s at times like these that He invites us to be still and know that He is God (Psalms 46:10).

Judge not, that you be not judged. ( Day 19)

.

“Judge not, that you be not judged.

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”

(Matthew 7:1,2)

.

Have you noticed how we’re never wrong?

It’s always the other person who has an issue.

Oh yes, its the other person that  has an annoying personality. The other person who has a bad attitude. The other person who can never do anything right.

The other person.

God has been teaching me that you can never judge a person by their appearance, speech or behavior. The “people front” a person puts forth is many a times the result of circumstances in his/her life that may have caused that face to come forth.

Human nature also has this ugly habit of building up a pre-conceived thought about a person based on perhaps past wrongs he/she may have stumbled through and then sticks to that thought even if the person has or is trying to make amends from his/her wrong ways.

Our God is a God of second chances. If it were not for His Mercy and Grace where would we be today?

He looks at us not as we are now but how we will look in Christ on the day we meet Him face to face.

It’s with that same attitude of compassion that we need to deal with the people we meet.

Remember you and I may be the only Bible a person may read.

Let us pray that the LORD will fill our hearts with love and instead of asking Him to change the other person, ask Him to change you. You will be surprised at how your outlook towards people will change as you make this a daily request in your quiet time with Him.

I pray that you will find comfort, encouragement and hope as you lean close to listen to God’s Whisper for your situation today.

Be blessed!
