His Thoughts…His Ways… ( Day 20)

.

“ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.

“ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.

(Isaiah 55:8, 9)

.

Choosing a preschool for Bunny girl was literally a project for me! I did the research, asked around and looked up reviews.

I relied on my ways to narrow down on the choice I thought we as parents should pick and was blocked on any other suggestions.

I did everything I could to make sure all bases were covered.

Atleast that’s what I thought.

The preschool in question is an awesome school but…

it was not the school God had in mind for Bunny girl.

On the third day of preschool, Bunny girl came home and quietly whispered that she got locked in the toilet. At first I thought I heard her say that she got locked in the toilet and after questioning again realized that she really did get locked in the toilet. I was livid. Not because this couldn’t happen but because the teacher didn’t mention it to me when I picked her up and according to Bunny girl it was a little while before someone opened the door to find her there.

Hubby and I decided not to confront the school immediately but prayed over the next two days for God to give us the grace to deal with the situation peacefully. We did not send Bunny girl back to school and even though we did receive an apology from the Principal, we decided to pull her out of the school because we just didn’t feel safe to send her back.

I couldn’t understand why our 3 year old had to go through something like that and I became overtly protective about sending her to another preschool.

Later that week while driving around, we noticed a preschool that my friend’s son had attended. I told Hubby we’d be wasting our time to even consider the same as my friend had mentioned admissions open up 2 months prior and that parents line up in front of the school 3 hours before the gates open!

Hubby listened and then asked me to call the school the next day and request for her to be put on their waiting list.

The next morning when I called the school, the Principal said that they were full and didn’t have any vacancies except for 1 in the 3-4 year olds class!

She asked us to go over and take a tour of the school and let Bunny girl try out the school for a week to decide if we wanted her to enroll in the same.

Bunny girl loved it and eventually stayed at the school for 2 years prior to starting Kindergarten this year!

I still don’t know why things happened the way they did but I’ve learned from experience not to ask why.

I have seen God do beautiful things right after it has seemed like I’ve fallen face down in the mud and the grime, so I trust Him on what He’s doing.

I don’t know what you are going through right now but I just want to encourage you to trust God to do what He is doing with your life.

You may not understand the whys, hows and whens about anything right now but be strengthened in your faith to know that His Thoughts and His Ways are higher than your own.

It will all fall into place for your good soon.

Just wait on Him and see.

I pray that you will find comfort, encouragement and hope as you lean close to listen to God’s Whisper for your situation today.

Be blessed!
