Early last week, we awoke to some activity in our backyard. We noticed some big time burrowing into our yard and for a second it did look like a huge Mole was trying to find its way into our “space”. It was only after a brown ball of fur scampered by did we realize that our neighbor’s dogs were planning an escape into our backyard!!
The thinner one made it across easily but their chunky lab needed more than just a little coaxing from her escape partner.
I will admit the kids were thrilled to finally have their own “pets” even though the joy lasted for less than fifteen minutes before they were returned to their rightful home.
Our backyard presently looks like moles have infested it as the 2 canines made two more escape plans right after this one.
The first escape was fun. But after sending the dogs back the third time round, the fun ranks way down below for Hubby and self as a dug-up backyard with generous piles of “dog-love” is not something we’re looking forward to cleaning!..
