Top 5 shows on Netflix that my toddler loves

My daughter is 19 months old and while her brother and sister play companions are away at school, I become her stand-in play companion. On mornings we don’t have errands or grocery runs to complete, we relax at home.

Some time during the day we settle down on the couch to watch a little television.

After show surfing for a good number of weeks, I’ve finally narrowed down what captures her attention to 5 shows that never fail to entertain her. Each one either has an educational element to the same or a musical element.

Top 5 shows on Netflix that my toddler loves

If you have a toddler who isn’t really into any of the shows you’ve been trying to introduce him/her to, try these shows. Baby Girl loves them and hopefully your little one will too. All 5 are available on Netflix (which makes this great on occasion you’re traveling and need a way to entertain your little one.)

1. Barney and Friends

2. Animal ABC’s and 123’s

3. Baby Genius

4. Elmo and Friends

5. Mother Goose Club

Netflix also has several BabyFirstTV shows like Tilly Knock Knock, Harry the Bunny, Bonnie Bear, Color Crew and Numbers Parade.

Baby Girl is yet to take an interest in these and that’s not to say these aren’t great shows. These were favorites with Little Man when he was a baby. She just prefers Mamo (Elmo) and Baba (Barney) over anything else.

Sit with your little one and gauge what interests him/her. Allow it to be a time for both of you to just enjoy each others company and not have the television play baby-sitter.

Those chores can always be done later. Our little ones grow up way too fast.
