Macy’s Christmas Light Show (Philadelphia, PA)
The amazing Macy’s Christmas Light Show has been a well-loved tradition since 1956. Between November 25 and December 31, thousands of people visit the Center City location to watch the spectacular show and listen to holiday music, played on the famous Wanamaker Grand Organ.
The 34,500 light show takes place several times a day. You really don’t want to miss it. Plus, it’s a convenient way to get some of your holiday shopping done!
Pennsylvania Ballet’s The Nutcracker (Philadelphia, PA)
On select dates, between December 11 and 31, you can take your family to see the classic musical, The Nutcracker. Playing at The Academy of Music, which opened its doors in 1857, this wonderful holiday production features a magical growing Christmas tree, toy soldiers, sword-fighting mice, princesses, dancing snowflakes and more.
