A month ago I received an invite of a lifetime. One that I continue to thank God for because I see His Hand in it from the moment it reached my inbox.

I was invited on an all expense paid trip to France.

Yes, the very same France in Europe!!

A tour that would involve drinking in the beauty of the French countryside, basking in the serenity of the basilicas and cathedrals, and basically seeing France from a whole new perspective…

the spiritual side of France.

With my youngest exclusively nursing at this point (and no, she doesn’t take a bottle), I knew I couldn’t make the trip. Thankfully the team was really sweet to consider allowing the amazing Trisha (MomDot) to travel on my behalf.

So yes, I’m excited to share that we will be able to experience another side of France through Trisha’s lens and accounts, for Mommy Snippets.

I’ve seen parts of Paris several years ago, on a business  trip, a year before my oldest was born and loved the unique flavor that makes France what it is. Trisha will be visiting places I’ve only seen on postcards (Lisieux, Mont Saint-Michel, Ste Anne D’Auray and Chartres) and will be doing some pretty neat things…

spending a night in a monastery, visiting one of the biggest churches built in the 20th century, attending Chartres famous light festival and…

I’d better not share too many spoilers!!

This incredible trip begins on August 31 and ends on September 5th.

I will be sharing photographs on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, as and when Trisha is able to send them across and yes, give you a feel of the spiritual side of France.

Follow the team as they travel, using the hashtag #SpiritualFrance on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

If it was a new experience for you, it was a wonderful moment for me : to discover the megalithic site of Carnac by segway, have lunch in the small Harbour of Saint-Goustan, listen private concert of organ and bombarde in the Basilica of Sainte-Anne d’Auray by night. Come back whenever you want. Amélie

    1. Thank you Amelie for the kind hospitality. We will be sharing a more detailed account with photographs and more, once Trisha gets home and rests a bit after all the amazing experiences she has had. Sainte-Anne is beautiful. Thank you once again.

  30. Oh FRANCE! how I love thee!
We lived in Germany about 6 years ago. And we got to take a trip to France. Paris exactly. And it was amazing. But I wish I could have seen more of the rest of the country. I just love EUROPE and the rich history. I would love to go back.
